Games At Twilight

In Literture, we worked with the story "Games at Twilight" by Anita Desai. We made the analisys and created a power point. I share mine.

The worst experience

In language, we had to write an story starting with the phrase "I have never felt so nervous before in my life". But before, we searched for different adjectives to include in our story.

Here is my story:

I had never felt so nervous before in my life. Nevertheless, it was an experience for me to learn how to protect myself.

Without warning, I entered my house and a thief putted his gang in my back, it was a terrifying moment. He was very cautious since I didn't raven saw him. I was really scared. I don't know why, instead of closing the door quickly I waited.

Quite unexpectedly, he took me and there I couldn't react. At first, I was paralyzed. However then I reactivated and I noticed that it was evil what was happening to me. I have never lived an experience like that.

- "Give me everything that you've", he told me.

- "Please, don't do me anything, please", I said.

- "Shut up or I'll shoot you", he shouted.

Not long afterwards, he tied my hands, it was really annoying. I thought that he was going to kill me, in contrast, he didn't. Just then. When it was all over, I felt really defeated.

All in all, it was the worst experience that I had had in my life.

Reporting

In class we read about how to write reports so we had to do a piktochart summarizing the idea. Here I show you our work. I worked with Jimena.

Writing short stories

In the language class, we read the theory for writing short stories. with that information we made a chart including important points to take into account when writing one. Here I upload my chart. I worked with Jimena.

Then we had to do the practice and we had to write an story that started with the phrase Mark couldn´t believe his good luck.

Mark couldn´t believe his good luck, first when he was singing in the streets, one of the one direction singers, heart him and he wanted Mark to be part of the band. At the beggining he couldn´t believe it since it was a great opportunity. However it has bad things, for example, you have no privacy.

- Oh my god! You´ve a great voice. Nevertheless, you've to work on it. Said Harry.
- Thank you! Said Mark.
- Do you want to be part of our band? Asked he.
- I don't know, I've to think about it. He answered.

All in all he accepted.

Second, when they were in the sing competition, they won and as a result he was millionaire. And third once he was totally famous, his manager offered him to record his own CD instead of doing it in group.

Ideas to improve your informal email

In Language we had to read about informal emails. And then, we made a chart summarising the text. Here I show you ours. I worked with Jimena.

Then we had to write an E-mail answering to a previous one.

Hi Tom,
Very well! And you? Well, I´m studying a lot. I´m very tired.

Yes! Of course I remember. I think the you want teenagers to read it, you should write about books, films, sports, soap operas and put on teenagers shoes. You can also write tips and pieces of advice at the time of studying.

Currently I´m workingt on an online newspaper, I do the design part. Sure!! I´ll help you with the design of the work. We can arrange a date and we talk through skype so I show you my ideas.

About the printer, I advice you to buy it in Garbarino. Things there are cheap and they´re good quality.

LEARNING A SECOND LANGUAGE

Now a days, is very common and necessary to learn a foreign language. Studying a new language brings many advantages in life.

There are many advantages when you know a different language. You can have the opportunity of working or studying abroad, you can communicate  with people from other countries, such as going to the super market while you are travelling in another country.

Other advantages that can help you if you study, travel, work or live in another country is that you are abel to do everything you want in your daily life without any difficulty. You can understand the country's cultures, traditions and signs. This makes your life, travel, etc easier and enjoyable.

Althought is not easy, to learn a second language is very helpful. Would you try it?

The well known character Jack Sparrow starred by Jhonny Depp, injured his hand shooting while he was acting for the film in Australia last week, as a consequence he had a surgery.

The premiere is on july the 7th, 2017. The directors of the movie are Espen Sandberg and Joachim Rooning.
