Life of Pi

In ELT with Alejandra Muslera we watched the movie "Life of Pi", then in Language, with Andrea, we wrote about one of the main topics in the movie.

SURVIVAL

In the film "Life of Pi" survival is the main topic. He has to live the experience of facing the ocean after his ship sank due to a strong thunderstorm. He is on the boat. However, he's not alone, he is with one of the animals of his father's zoo, a tiger called Richard Parker.

Despite the boat is small and unsafe, it has a survival kit. In order to convive with Richard, he followed the instructions of the safety book. It's a difficult job because of the tiger's temper. As he is wild and he's roraring and snorling all daylong, it makes it impossible for Pi to survive. In addition, Pi also has to face strange climate conditions.

Although it is a terrible situation, he is very optimistic and he continues trying to train the tiger to survive.

Let's help the environment

In Language we had to write an essay on this statement : "Unfortunately, young people are not interested 
In helping the Environment."

Sorting the trash

Currently, the Environment is suffering a lot due to human acts. Global warming and pollution are increasing year after year; this is damaging us, likewise the whole planet. 

"Teenagers nowadays are not interested in protecting the environment". That's what many people think. However, I cannot support the view that all of them don't care about It. In fact, many adolescents are part of helping organizations. In addition, adults take a really important role in polluting, specifically in air pollution when they use their cars.

I fully support the idea that if children are aware of the environmental protection, they'll care for it. On the other hand, I strongly disagree with the fact that everyone talks about the topic but nobody does anything in order to solve it. In contrast, there are many organizations that help the environment, similar to the way Green Peace cooperates.

It isn't difficult to start helping nature, we can begin by separating the rubbish. Something that can indeed sound strange although it'a a good way of starting. I'm in agreement with starting to change the world. What about you?

Climate change

In EM, we are studying the atmosphere and we had to create a mid map based on an information that our teacher gave us about the topic. We had to create this mind map in GoConqr. I worked with Juan.

Cortemos con el SIDA

En biología tuvimos que mirar un video que publico la profesora en su blog y responder diversas preguntas sobre este. 

Aqui les dejo la actividad 

¿Qué es ONUSIDA? ¿Cuáles son los objetivos que proponen?

¿A qué refiere el título de esta entrada?

La ONUSIDA es una organización que lucha contra el virus VIH. Esta se propone lograr que el virus no se expanda mas, que las personas que tienen SIDA no sean discriminadas y que no haya mas muertes a causa de esta enfermedad. Lo que trata de lograr el video que vimos es concientizar a las personas de que este tema y esta enfermedad. Esto es muy importantes y todo el mundo tiene que estar al tanto de los cuidados para que esta enfermedad no se propague.  Otro tema que es importante nombrar de este video es que quieren que todos juntos luchemos contra esta enfermedad y ayudemos a quienes están enfermos, por ejemplo no discriminarlos.

El título ¨lleguemos a 0¨, se refiere a que no haya mas muertes, que no haya discriminación ni infección. Que no haya ni una persona afectada por esta enfermedad y que quienes ya lo están que no mueran ni se sientan peor por lo que tienen. 

Tomar consciencia

Para biología, tuvimos que realizar una actividad observando un afiche de prevención por el HIV. Teníamos que hacer en TAGXEDO, un trabajo con los conceptos principales y luego pensar en lo que comunica el título del afiche y escribirlo con nuestras palabras.

Lo que el título intenta comunicar es que esta en nosotros el querer ¨cuidarnos¨ o no, que si nosotros no tomamos consciencia de esta enfermedad y no nos hacemos consultas médicas ni nos hacemos un test, nosotros solos nos estamos perjudicando y no nos pueden obligar a hacer algo que no queremos. Entonces esta en nosotros esta enfermedad, en como nosotros nos manejamos con nuestra salud
